It should be complete by the end of the first one hour technology session. It will test your knowledge of what a food chain is, how it works, naming the different parts of a food chain and a general understanding of this topic. You will work in your pairs so your mark will be the same for both you and your partner. http://www.theteacherspot.com/classroom/foodchains.htm There are 20 questions so each mark will be worth 1/2 mark each. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Food Chain Visual Aid - 10 marks This will be marked on the effort that you and your partner have put into this part of the presentation. It should include clearly labelled diagrams of the following: - the environment of the food chain /1 - the animals/plants /1 - the sun /1 - producer /1 - primary consumer /1 - secondary consumer /1 - tertiary consumer/ predator /1 - decomposers /1 Other marks will be awarded to: - Visual presentation /2 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Oral Presentation - 10 marks The oral presentation will be marked on the following: - Speaking quality: a clear, loud voice. /1 - Eye contact and appropriate hand gestures. /1 - Content: Explain the direction of your food chain and how it works. What enrironment have you chosen and what animals live there? /2 - Explain what would happen if each part of the food chain was removed at different times. How would the removal of one part effect all the others? /6 |
